Take your mountain biking to the next level! Join us for a 2-hour skills workshop guided by one of our qualified instructors. This course is designed for new and novice riders looking to hone their technique and gain confidence on their bike. Course Rider Limit - 6 Riders *** Registration closes at 3:00pm of the day prior to the scheduled class. We'll practice basic elements of mountain biking, including: - Body positioning - Effective braking - Eye movement - Pedal Positioning Then we'll take your new skills to the trail for a short group ride! Clinics start at 8:45 am at the Haymaker trailhead/BMX track parking lot in Eagle, CO, and the course generally runs about two hours. What to bring: - A safe, functional mountain bike - Helmet - Plenty of water and snacks - Sunscreen - An extra tube - Weather appropriate clothing FAQ How do I get there? From I-70, take exit 147. Follow Eby Creek Road south to Grand Ave. Turn left at Capitol Street, then left onto Brush Creek Road. Park at the bike park parking lot next to the Mountain Recreation Pool and Ice Rink. What kind of bike do I need? A bike with suspension is highly recommended. Make sure it is in good working order. You can bring it by the shop for a checkup ahead of time and we’ll make sure it’s ready to go! What about kids? This clinic is designed for adult riders, minimum age 16. Do I need protection? The most critical protection is a good helmet. If your helmet is old or has taken some hits, consider investing in a new one. Eye protection is also highly recommended. Knee and elbow pads welcome, but not required. What are the Covid protocols? We are limiting our class sizes and encouraging social distancing. Masks are welcome but not required per Colorado guidelines.
